FAQ

Great question! A buyer persona is a fictitious representation of your ideal client. Sometimes they are called buyer avatars. Those terms can be used interchangeably. We call them buyer personas. As an example, we really like working with marketing agency owners. We call this buyer persona "Michael Smith." Statistically, that would likely be his name. We know a lot about how he thinks, and really enjoy helping him, and his clients achieve greater profitability. Having done persona research on Michael, we are able to be much more effective with our marketing activities, when trying to attract the various Michaels who are out there.

Our subscribers can create as many personas as they need. There is no limit, and the number of personas created does not impact pricing. Most businesses tend to have at least a few ideal clients or customers. So, understanding how each one thinks can be very valuable. Also, while our platform was designed to help subscribers create buyer personas, there are a couple other personas that can be created. You can also create an anti-persona. This is an example of the person you want to "NOT" have a conversation with. They can be a drain on your time and money, or increase your blood pressure. By understanding where they are and how they think, you can more effectively avoid them. Also, you may want to create personas for your ideal employees or third-party vendors.

No. You can use personas for better understanding anyone you really want to connect with. There are three very obvious types of personas. One is the buyer persona, and this is probably the most common type of persona made. Another is a persona for your ideal employee or team member. This is something that could be very useful for HR and talent acquisition. A third type of persona is called an "Anti-Persona." This is for the individual you want to not attract. Perhaps they're the opposite of an ideal client, and they are resource suck and a headache to deal with. Knowing where you should "not" advertise can be very helpful. There are other reasons to create personas though. But, these three are what we are most familiar with.
